Marriage is an ancient practice, and no matter where we are in the world, I love how weddings can all feel so similar and familiar. I am always looking for that human connection and through-line on a wedding day. As Andrea Bogdan says in her artist statement: "And we see it, and we see it, and we know how it feels because we are human, too"
My hope when covering a wedding is to document it truthfully, from a place of empathy and curiosity.
Weddings are photographed with a mixture of digital and film, and when you receive your photos, the goal is for you to feel as if you are receiving your memories back.
